After the sudden death of his dad, 13-year-old DJ Mackay's Mum moves him and his young sister from Edinburgh to the township of Linicro on the Isle of Skye. DJ didn't want to leave his friends at school, but he knew his Mum needed a fresh start. Arriving on the island in the summer of 1976, surprisingly, DJ quickly grew to love the cottage and the Isle of Skye. With his two best friends, John and James Macdonald, the three boys set off to explore the beautifully rugged and mystical Score Bay.
