A 1940s newsreel documenting the exhibition of archaeological relics from ancient Peruvian cultures, held at the National Museum of Anthropology and Archaeology, a gallery that was formerly Bolívar's mansion. Among the archaeological pieces on display were obelisks, stelae, monoliths, tenon heads, and a reproduction of the Chavín Temple, as well as funerary mantles from the Paracas culture, all discovered by the Peruvian anthropologist Julio C. Tello. Also featured were bowls from the Collagua culture, ceramics from the Chanca, Nazca, Rucana, Chincha, and Mochica cultures; gold and silver vessels from the Chimú culture; and ceramics from the Inca period.
