A 1940s newsreel about the Chan Chan archaeological site describes a Moche shrine discovered by Eudoro Hoyle, built on the ruins of Huaca Esmeralda near the city of Trujillo, where remains of tombs and an interior lagoon now covered in reeds can be seen. It also mentions the Tschudi enclosure, one of many that divide the Chan Chan ruins, where walls 15 meters high can be observed.
