Home Invasion: The Story Of Channel U sees the Link Up TV Originals production team deep dive into the untold story of a culturally significant and very impactful UK television channel that changed everything. Platforming, influencing and even birthing a lot of the prominent UK urban acts, personalities, music execs, videographers, editors and all around creatives of today; 20 years after its inception, we look at how Channel U helped shape a generation, and encourage a talented group of individuals that were largely overlooked for not quite being able to output the same glossy aesthetic their established American counterparts were releasing on a consistent basis at the time. This story, though littered with nostalgia and positive memories from the music and shows that we grew up on, is definitely one of trials an tribulations.
