The book has opened up yet again and only this time we read through those pages which were never narrated earlier. The pages which narrates the tales of "AKIRA", girl from the nearby village who accidently lands in the thickets of the mighty Seonee jungle and finds herself in the jaws of "Sherekhan", the tiger. Akira managed to escape but the sight of another man cub in jungle has just doubled up Shere khan's rage and anger. He will never stop picking up the scents of both the man cubs.
