"Batya" is a 16-episode detective series about a distinguished operative, Lieutenant Colonel Stepan Trofimovich Bezbateko. After retiring, he hoped for a peaceful life, but his plans were drastically changed by the full-scale Russian invasion. After a year on the front lines and being wounded, Batya returns home. At the request of his daughter Lida, who works as a forensic expert, he agrees to help a young investigator solve a complicated murder case. Batya had no idea that this investigator was his son-in-law. After the truth came to light, the conflicts between the young and ambitious Yulian Synytskyi and the experienced operative only intensified.
