Rita Galich, a housing lawyer, works at a social center. One day, she receives the news that her father, a respected lawyer and university lecturer Evgeny Vladimirovich, is accused of murdering his graduate student. Evgeny Vladimirovich's guilt is obvious to everyone — he was detained at the scene of the crime, his fingerprints were found on the murder weapon and on the victim's body. But Rita does not believe that her father was involved in what happened, and wants to find out the truth on her own.
