The unethical plastic surgeon Felipe Barreto, married out of interest to Stella, daughter of the wealthy businessman Herculano Maciel, feels a strong attraction to Márcia, a simple, shy, suburban teacher, engaged to Walter, an employee at his clinic. This fascination increases when he discovers that the girl is a virgin. In order to make love to the girl before her fiancé, he arranges for Walter to distance himself and seduces Márcia when she seeks him out.
