The celestial being Wen Shu descends to the mortal realm to undergo her trial of tribulation. She aids Zhang Shiming in resurrecting his sister and exposes the true culprit, Li Shuhao. From there, she goes on to crack dark sorcery, soothe vengeful spirits, and battle the undying Bone Refined, enduring the Trial of the Seven Emotions along the way. In the end, Tushan Jin sacrifices himself to save her, and Wen Shu, having fully awakened to the depths of human feeling, reclaims her immortal throne. But when Tushan Jin's body vanishes without a trace, Wen Shu receives a new decree: return to the mortal world and settle the karma once and for all.
