An overworked daily-soap producer finds his life constantly derailed by the hilarious clash between his chaotic job and his domestic life. While he scrambles to manage arrogant lead actors, constant script blunders, and brutal production deadlines on set, his real trouble begins at home: his mother becomes obsessed with the virtuous heroine of his show, using this fictional character as a golden standard to constantly criticize his real wife—completely unaware that the television star is an insufferable diva off-camera while his actual wife is a sensible, grounded partner forced to deal with the absurd fallout.
