It is an adaptation of the BBC's miniseries of the same name and is based on the 1989 novel by Michael Dobbs. Below is a list consisting of the many characters who have appeared throughout the series' seasons. The only two actors to have main appearances in all six seasons of House of Cards are Robin Wright and Michael Kelly.
